One was the Apprentice the other was the Republican and Democratic debate. Both made me grind my teeth a little bit.

Politics gets a bump.
by Jeremy on Nov.09, 2007, under Blog, Entertainment, Politics

With the Writers strike happening here and New York I’m beginning to wonder if that will give the nomination process a bump in ratings. The fact is that soon all the shows that we watch are going to be dried up and replaced with some less than good reality fare. I think this is probably a grand time for studios to think about switching gears and place some politically minded reality shows on the screen.
With less to keep us, as a whole, away from politics, I’m thinking the public is going to focus in on the upcoming nominations maybe quicker and more intently than they would any other year. What say you?
Debate today

codep03t pointed me toward the preview for Tim Burton’s/Johnny Depps new movie. Looks creep.

Leave a Comment more...Michael Yon.
by Jeremy on Jul.31, 2007, under Politics, news
I’ve been going to this site for awhile. It’s pretty amazing. His name is Michael Yon. He’s an independent reporter in Iraq, that only operates on the money that is given to him from his site…he says it this way
“Michael Yon does not receive funding or financial support from any news media, movie, book or television deals at this time. These dispatches are entirely reader supported. Readers who value this work can support it, and even help to increase the flow:”
I think I’m going to start contributing to him. It’s great to read unfiltered news about what’s going on there. Plus he’s a heckuva writer, and his stories are exciting and scary at the same time.
He also has recently added his Youtube channel HERE.
Maybe bookmark the page, tell a friend, subscribe to the youtube channel or donate. It’s a worthy cause.
Fred Thompson For President
by Jeremy on Mar.14, 2007, under Politics
Yeah a little early for Politics. But I’ve been sick with my side of the aisle and the offerings they’ve been putting forth. Some of them good people, just not…well…conservative.
So when Fred Thompson said that he might run…I got giddy, and so did alot of other people.
If you are interested go sign the petition to draft Fred into the race.
Frank J. lists reasons why Fred should be president below. (my fave is * The Fremen consider “Fred Thompson” a killing word.”)
For those of the political bent
by Jeremy on Jan.24, 2007, under Politics
Hugh Hewitt ( <- hero), has asked bloggers to sign this petition that came on the heels of General Petraeus testimony before congress. Obviously the next few weeks are vital to either supporting the President with his new plan or not. I’m voting yea.
So if you are, though I know alot of you aren’t, of the same mind, sign the petition (link your blog/myspace/to the signature).
RIP Lt. Mark Daily
by Jeremy on Jan.19, 2007, under Politics
Today I’d like you to read this post by Lt. Mark Daily who was recently killed in Iraq.
Sad and Amazing. This Man leaves me in awe and squeamish at his courage and ability versus my own comfortable life.
God bless him and his family.
