Saw this over at Topless Robot. Hilarious if you are in the know. If you aren’t in the know, let me fill you in. In the classic Trek series if you put on a red shirt, which meant you were pretty much the low man on the totem pole and it inevitably means you are as good as dead. They were the expendables. The DC ones start about 3:50 into it. I love Captain Marvel, the Flash, Green Lanterns. The rest are pretty gruesome, but it is worth watching.

I’ve never been to New York. Most of my idea about Manhattan is what I’ve read in comic books and movies. I imagined it for awhile to be the most evil of places on the planet. Films like Death Wish and Escape for NewYork, not to mention the fact that every super villain attacks New York exclusively, it must be because they can get away with crap there.
Anywhoo, I digress, Laughing Squid posted a pic (go there for a bigger version) of a map of Manhattan as it is in the Marvel Universe. Super awesome.

Awesome. I say awesome because J.J. has spent his formative years doing visual effects on shows like Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars, and Raiders of the Lost Ark, he then went on to direct movies like Rocketeer, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, Jumanji and one of my favorites OCTOBER SKY. Movies full of fun, adventure, and heart.

He’s taking the reins of Steve Rogers in the WW2 adventure story of Captain America. I can NOT wait.
