Just because I won’t be outdone..

by Jeremy on May.07, 2004, under The Skedoozy

I give you the image of the two women that Mothers Day was made for…

I’ll never be able to repay them for all they taught me. Like, once you are a mother, you are always a mother. Whether it be to your own children or to their children when a substitute is needed for a brief time.

One brought me into the world and the other taught me that kindness of heart is the most important quality any person could ever have.

I’ve never seen the qualities in another person that my Grandmother had and that’s because she was one of a kind. Who else could have holiday dinners with family, ex-family, and people basically off the street, and have those get togethers considered the best ever.

There was no hatred in her house. You left all that at the doorstep. When you came in her house you were family, even if that family is far divorced from your own. She taught us all that love conquers above all even when it’s just her love keeping it all together.

A book could be written about her and you would never run out of good things to say about her. On Mothers Day we remember our mom’s, and we praise them for making us who we are, but those mothers who have past deserve just as much recognition for the people we are today.

And oh yeah, I loves my mom too. :) In case she does read this there ain’t no way I’m not saying that.. The clothes hanger still hurts at 29. :)
