New Robin TV Series

So According to Variety, there is going to be a “Robin” (yes as in Batman AND Robin) tv show. BUT, it’s going to be robin before his parents die. It’s going to be his alter ego, Dick Grayson, running around with his parents in the circus…

I know I poo poo so many ideas, but this one reallllly is a dumb idea. Maybe some execs are floating it out there in the internets to see what type of response they’ll get.

Well here’s mine - don’t do it.

Mainly because You’ll have some kid playing Dick Grayson at what…9, 10? So how long is your show going to run before he hits his growth spurt and you haven’t stuck batman in? A year, two max?
You play with genetics dudes, you’ll get burned. He was a kid, a small kid when his parents died and Batman adopts him, and since you guys don’t want to use Batman in anything except cartoons and motion pictures, I have a feeling you are going to botch it up.

There are so many other cool characters to play with, pick up on, Shoot Wonder Woman meets Gossip Girl would be far more feasible and fun than this idea.

And that my friends is my 2 cents.

yeah this is dumb. They could have done Cassandra Cain, Martian Manhunter (not the one from Smallville), ummm…others lol

9 or 10?!? Kicker, have you ever WATCHED the CW? They’re going to cast some 20 year-old underwear model, who’ll be playing 15. Probably someone they auditioned for Gossip Girl.

I hear you saying, “but that goes against everything in the DC continutity!!”. Oh, right. Time Warner is a real stickler for keeping true to the comic books they’ve never read. How old was Chris O’Donnel’s “boy” wonder? In graduate school? Look for this show to be a virtual clone of Smallville but with a little bit more sex and mean-spritedness thrown in. Geekmeister has spoken.

You are right Geekmeister, and that makes me sad (insert frowny face).

There is SOOOO MANY MORE OPTIONS!!!!

Young Indiana Jones meets Bruce Wayne NOW THAT is the show they should do.

UGH! This is going to be the WORST! It will be a regular teen show with a false tie to the DC universe, and it will be stupid.

I’m totally with you on the Bruce Wayne series idea. Hell, I even kind of liked ‘Birds Of Prey’, despite its crapiness. Why don’t they make more of that?
