What Fall Movies are you looking forward to?

Here my friends are the ones I, your esteemed host, am looking forward too.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (Nov. 21) - come on, some of the best books to have been written have miraculously been faithfully adapted to the screen. Each one echoing the darkness of each subsequent books. I can’t wait.

Burn After Reading (Sept. 12)- the Coen Brothers do Wacky (Raising Arizona, O brother where art thou’, Big lebowski) and then they do weird (Barton Fink, No Country for old men), and I’m a fan of the wacky, luckily this seems to fall into that category. Brad Pitt is acting hilariously in the trailer as a gym employee who happens upon some CIA secrets and tries to extort the agent who left them there for money. Seriously…the trailer is hilarious.

Eagle Eye (Sept 26) - starring the new dude for the silver screen Shia LeBeouf. And like his name the plot looks fairly incomprehensible but compelling. Reminds me of the “Game” with Michael Douglas. Anonymous voices telling someone to do something at certain times or ELSE…wait that’s how the Matrix starts out!

Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist (Oct 3) - very 80’s, cheesy teenage romance, I’m a sucker for it. Sad I know.

Australia (Nov 14) - Baz Luhrman has never made a bad film. period. His last being Moulin Rouge and now with what looks like a sweeping epic starring the robot Nicole Kidman and the always charismatic Hugh Jackman. Can. Not. Wait.

Quantum of Solace (Nov 7) - I’m not the biggest fan of the Bond reboot, but MAN this looks good. Hopefully it’ll make the last one feel more complete.

Yes Man (Dec 19)- I literally wrote a outline of something that is EXACTLY the same of this movie. Alas, as all ideas, they are struck upon by someone else leaving you in the dust of “your” idea (and I came up with this idea while they were filming it, so no, it wasn’t stolen, i’m just slow).

And the last one that I’m looking forward to is this strange out of left field thriller action movie starring Liam Neeson called TAKEN…no clue when it comes out though.
