My Battlestar Galactica theory…

So I’m caught up to the end of this current season of Battlestar (that was supposed to be the last season but now has been cut in half and I have no clue when the rest is going to air).

This is my theory about Earth, the fate of the fleet and all that jazz. sorta spoilers below…

My theory, though I think it’s now somewhat debunked, so now let’s not say it was my theory as much as what I would have done with the show.

I would have had them land on earth, show a couple of primitives running around and whammo, battlestar galactica is a rehash of the “Ancient Astronaut” legends of old. Earth is populated by outerspace men, the two factions of religious, the mono theistic, and the poly theistic populate the globe, each one raising up races that take on the identity of the current religious structures and the ancient (why else would we have Apollo, Athena, etc).

The Cylons become nothing more than Nephilim and what Battlestar is doing is not telling the future but the past.

That could still be it, but I’m not so sure now, and if it is, it becomes somewhat of a cope out and sounds alot like an old Twilight Zone that I had seen back in the day, where an astronaut named Adam crash lands on a planet, we think he is from earth, but by the end we realize he is the father of humanity and the nubile native he is hooked up with is named eve and well…you know the rest.

Crap in fact that’s the whole basis of Stargate too isn’t it?

Great series so far…sheesh.

Clare and I just got caught up ourselves. I have a more complex theory that will take me some time to write down. I’ll post it in my blog at some point. The gist of it is that the final 5 cylons came from earth (which they destroyed) and themselves created the skin jobs that attacked the other 12 colonies of Kobol. So the skin jobs did not evolve from the toasters…they were created by the final 5…I also suspect that the final 5 themselves are hybrids from an earlier iteration of man/machine war (”All this happened before and all will happen again…”) This could explain how Colonel Tigh has been around from before the original cylon war of 40 years ago and how the final five (four) are familiar with a Jimmi Hendrix song. We’ll have to swap ideas when you come visit…

Dude that is a good theory…complex just like Ron Moore likes it. I can’t believe we have to wait a year before we can find out….*sigh*

My theory ran parallel to yours.
