I didn’t go this year. I was invited, sometimes harassed for not going, but honestly after last year I don’t think my nerves could handle it.
San Diego Convention Center is just TOO small to hold the new wave of “Comic” fans (I place parentheses there because really it’s about people that are more into pop culture than comics), and in order to get to the panels you want, you must wait in line for a several ones you don’t want. ergh!
Plus the lovely Internets puts the best of the west out on the web for me to peruse and drool over. These are what I see as the best things coming out of Con below!

TR2N- If you can find the trailer on the web let me know. Youtube was sporting a couple of the leaked bits from the Con. What I saw was shot cock eyed between the heads of shadowy geeks, but I have to say, it looked GOOD. The new lightcycles, the disks, the old evil Flynn (played by Bridges) the new young evil flynn (played by bridges) the snippet looked amazing. I want more. Disney should release the tidbit to get people excited…well…more excited anyways.
Dr. Who - The British reboot a couple of years ago starring Chris Eccleston was good enough, but David Tennants turn as the time/space traveling adventurer has propelled it into the popular minds of Americans probably more than any other Doctor before him (yes even Baker). Check out CBR’s synopsis of the pane

Farscape comic written by Rockne S O’Bannon - Taking a page out of Whedon and his “Angel” season 6 and Buffy Season 8, Rockne is going to write comics of the greatest sci fi series to date…yes I said it.

Neil Gaiman is going to write Batman - uh huh! It should be strange to be sure, and after the R.I.P. story line I wonder what exactly is going to happen. Gaiman is a very talky talky writer, and sometimes I just don’t jive with his verbage, but it’ll be something different, and I’m all for that.

Chuck versus Season 2, a bootleg of the Wolverine Trailer all at Io9 - the Chuck preview has got me amazingly excited for the new television season. I’m more excited about Chuck than Hero’s or the 24 movie…I mean…they have a Thunderdome set up in the store!

the Wolverine trailer looks good, but….Hmmm…all those characters, I’d be content with just Wolvie killin suckahs. The last line is seriously awesome. Sabretooth looks wicked.
Princess Hotcakes
That TRON trailer did look pretty cool….the Dr. is growing on me and I plan to catch up on all the episodes of Chuck that I missed before he comes back - I can’t WAIT to consume an average, or even above average intake of television this fall:)
This is why I love you! lol
BUT you forget that part of coming to Comic Con is seeing your good friends the Beauchemins!
that’s true! If I went you’d be sure I’d come to see you guys for sure!
