Aliens (1986) - Hands down. Love that movie. Ellen Ripley makes many male action heroes look like wimps. I couldn’t find the scene on YouTube, but my favorite scene of the whole movie is near the end when Ripley straps on that mechanical suit used in the loading bays and fights the alien. “Get away from her YOU B****!” I love that part! There are tons of good scenes from this movie and great lines. “You’re dog-meat, pal!” or “That’s it man, game over man, game over” LOL!

Point Break fight/chase where Johnny hurts his knee.
Hard Boiled hospital scene.
Big Hit has a lot of crazy action scenes.
Showdown in little Tokyo when Brandon pulls out his pops moves always holds a special place in my heart.
Man.. I miss Brandon Lee now.

I have to admit that I’ve only started to see more action movies in the last year or so….hmmmm, I wonder why?
But, three scenes I really liked from what I’ve seen this year:
1. Bruce Willis fighting the Asian Chick in Die Hard 4
2. Matt Damon and that bathroom scene in The Bourne Supremacy
3. All of Iron Man
And I’m pretty sure I’m going to TOTALLY love whatever we see tomorrow night at MIDNIGHT!

First thing that comes to mind is the awesomely choreographed fight scene in OLD BOY where protagonist kicks the crap out of dozens of oncoming fighters in one continuously bad-ass single dolly shot.

I liked the OLD BOY fight scene, but that was about it for that movie and me.
Conservative Belle you are right about Aliens. James Cameron took a haunted house movie and turned it into one of the most bad arse action movies of all time.
Damon in Supremacy, Hard boiled…the entire movie lol, so good.
I of course love Die Hard for it’s leaping from the top of Nakatomi plaza, the Matrix end sequence when they walk into the lobby, HEAT for the getaway. Commando for one liners within action movies, Rambo’s “I’m coming for you Murdock” freakin kills me

Hmmm. I developed a top 5 scenes of all time list. Here’s a go at best action scenes: Raiders of the Lost Ark opening scene, Jurassic Park T-Rex scene, Return of the Jedi speeder bike scene, Return of the King Battle at Gondor, Terminator 1 ending.
