4 day work weeks are awesome

I love four day work weeks. Fridays are just a spectacular do nothing day no matter where you are. But do nothing, is exactly what I won’t be doing, I do after all have a rewrite to complete, scrabulous games to play and of course tonight is Dr. Who night with my local Whovian friends.

I’ve talked with my family and they all seem to be doing good (aside from my mom liking Indiana Jones), and yet there was a long moment this last couple of weeks I found myself kind of depressed. It’s weird, when I take a step back, to look at all the blessings that I have in my life. To look at all the blessings that WE have as a nation and yet, still feel unsatisfied, lacking, hollow.

That was the week. Now don’t worry, I’m not feeling so “UN” right now. I figured out along time ago that when the funk begins to trickle in, it’s best to eat right, work out, pray, and get as many naps as you can in - tends to make the funk flee.

So not much to talk about (I hear the Scrabulous game calling). I hope you are all well, leave comments at your leisure, questions, etc and have a great weekend!

I have to agree with your mom I enjoyed the movie. Your comments were valid and i agree that the Tarzan thing was bad. Perhaps since I read your review I was expecting worse and therefore my high expectations were gone. Anyway have a great weekend I love you kicker

I know just what you mean about the “kind of depressed” thing. I find myself feeling that way a lot, mostly about family being so far away. I feel bad for missing out on my nieces and nephew growing up. (my sister lives in Md and has 2 girls and 1 boy, then of course there is Isabella in Tx.) I miss them. A lot.
By the way, Andrea still talks about bowling with you. Yes, that’s right, bowling with you…..Uncle Josh is never mentioned. I thought you would be proud. ;-)

I feel about summers the way you feel about four day work weeks. Every year when I look forward to vacation, I always think to myself, “Man, most people have to work ALL YEAR. How do they do it?” Of course, I almost always work during the summer too, but it’s nice for that to be purely optional.

Those WERE the days!! Even now, my parents are wrapping up their last week of work for the summer….there’s something about knowing that you get breathing room and time for much-needed adventures that might be enough to make me get a PhD at some point….but not any time soon:)
