Welcome Your Name Here to another installment of Japanese Music Video of the Week!
Today we finally bring you some non-rock/metal/rock-fusion/metal-fusion music with the hip hop group Dragon Ash.
Dragon Ash has been around for a while (about ten years), and is one of the most successful hip hop bands in Japan, noted for heading the second hip hop wave in Japan (I did a report on this stuff). Some of the more movie savvy members of the audience may have seen “Battle Royale” and experienced Dragon Ash’s music first hand (as they performed the ending theme [I tried to rewrite that sentence about 9 times, but I'm just too tired to sound even semi-coherent]). Dragon Ash’s songs are usually more relaxed than other groups and often feature some classical guitar. I can almost guarantee that their songs will have a calming effect. I can also almost guarantee that you will whistle this song’s theme at least once after watching the music video. So without further ado: Dragon Ash’s Yume de Aetara
I think we’ve all been in this situation. Truly, being the “bigger person” is a lot harder than it seems. Prayers are going out for the spacekicker with the ruffled feathers. (i am picturing this in my head and it’s pretty funny)
