VROOM! VROOM! Arriba arriba!

How do you like my sombrero?

Tommy came down Friday morning and our goal was to get a rice paddy hat for him and a sombrero for me.

Mission accomplished!

I should start in chronological order shouldn’t I?

Thursday afternoon I had a Red Bull, then alter after a wonderful caramel frappachino, and conversation with Caustic Girl I was completely HIGH and off to Damian’s

Thursday night Damian had gotten us tickets for the first showing of the Grindhouse at Mann’s Chinese theater. The line was long, the show sold out, but in typical Damian style he bluffed his way in and got us primo seats.

This had to be one of my favorite movie going experiences of all time. The two movies were a throw back to the gore fests that used to watch in High School, and Tarantino’s film just solidified Kurt Russell as one of the best actors not doing enough in film.

I won’t recommend this thing to most of you, because…well, it’s pretty disgusting as far as gore and innuendo, but I had a ball watching it. My friends and I just stared at each other slack jawed, pretty much in awe that what we were seeing, we were seeing on the screen.

I got home at 2am, sleep at 2:30 am and then woke up at 8am…or earlier. That much caffeine causes me to sleep far too restlessly.

Friday Tommy and I hit Chinatown(land).

We had a ball. Drinkin a couple more Red Bulls, Tommy talking down the various Chinese shopowners into lowering their prices we were almost able to complete the Pirate costume that I’m going to wear for Skedoozy’s wedding this weekend.

We ate alot. At one of our many meals we say Stargate Chick and her mother at Barney’s Beanery, small world this L.A. In fact I saw alot of people I knew as we drove about. Hmmm Maybe that means I’ve been in this town too long!

that’s how Big it is!

Tommy left and I felt fairly sick the next day. My body caught up with the lack of sleep and the caffeine overdose so I spent the majority of the day sleeping, eating soup, sleeping and then got up to see Kerrie at Casa Del Mar for her little birthday get together.

As always it was good to see her and catch up, and Casa Del Mar is just so swanky I might have to revisit that joint rather soon.

Back home for some Robin Hood and more sleep.

EASTER!!!

Our church rented out the Hollywood Bowl and amazingly the 12,000 seats were almost filled (the top tier had just a few people sprinkling it). Great message, great time. M2 had a spread of breakfast foods we took with us that consisted of mini-quiches, potatoe pancakes, teriyaki meatballs, bacon, sandwhiches (turkey or egg salad), an assortment of drinks and other stuff. So we ate and worshipped and had a grand ole time.

That’s emo El with the hood on.

That afternoon I went to Jax’s Easter dinner. Very cool to meet some new peeps and eat alot of food. I didn’t stay too long due to the fact I wasn’t completely up to speed as far as feeling better so I left and went home and watched some Dresden.

Talked to Jaybo, who again, is just the greatest guy for those that don’t know and went to sleep.

And now…well now here we are! Happy Monday to you all!
