We have entered a generation where obtaining higher education has advanced towards a more techno-savvy and culturally-driven operation. Did you know that professors are creating profiles on MySpace as an additional way to connect with students? Online learning continues to be popular, but now classes like chemistry and biology are being offered (with a LAB component included) thanks to features like vodcasting and vlogs. With the advent of wikipedia, internet-based knowledge is being further extended into classrooms as a valuable resource. And, believe it or not, virtual teachers are already here check out the avatars in Second Life who have been offering real courses in economics and business in this alternate world. So why should offereing Dance Dance Revolution for college credit be any bit surprising?
Well, as your Fitness-Psycho (a title quite fulfilling despite the deferred pay) I couldnt let the Exercise Science department at my community college lag behind these innovative trends. So, I challenged my department head to take the first step in being the coolest college across the nation by proposing that she offer Dance Dance Revolution for college credit.
Within one hour the proposal was accepted.
Ladies and gentleman behold PED 103, Section 0784.
It may look like a few letters and numbers, but PED 103 is officially a physical activity course with an emphasis in Dance Dance Revolution. Taking this class once a week gets you a whopping 0.5 credit with the option to pass-fail the course or receive a letter-grade. Okay, it may not affect your overall GPA but just to have DDR on your transcript would be totally worth it. The course is held Fridays from 12-12:50pm in the dance room (of course) and will go through the entire 16-week spring semester. Six people have already registered!
Naturally, Ive been assigned as the instructor for the course. But be forewarned: Im a hard grader. I dont tolerate tardiness. And if youre serious about DDR you better bring it every single period or I will withdraw you from class.

I’m confused. How do other people post blogs on your page? Is this a server for a community of Spacekickers and you are the head-honcho kicker? Have you several alter-egos? What’s going on here?
I have a COUPLE of people that post from time to time on my site. It’s rare though. You’ll occasionally see Fitness Psycho, Jaybo, or even sometimes we are blessed with a Skedoozy.
I try to get them to give me articles all the time, but NOOOOO
This time I got lucky

If I lived in LA, I would take that class. That sounds awesome!
It’s actually in Mesa, AZ!

You know, after I posted that, I thought, “Does Biray even live in LA?” Sure enough…
